“المدينة تتحدث”.. معرض فوتوغرافي يجمع مدن العالم في قطر

ينظم مركز قطر للتصوير، التابع لوزارة الثقافة، بالتعاون مع اتحاد المصورين الدوليين (GPU)، معرضاً فوتوغرافياً استثنائياً بعنوان “المدينة تتحدث”، وذلك يوم الجمعة المقبل، بمقر المركز في “كتارا”.

ويكتسب المعرض أهمية خاصة، كونه يأتي احتفاءً باعتماد مركز قطر للتصوير مركزاً معتمداً لدى اتحاد المصورين الدوليين (GPU) وممثلا لها في المنطقة؛ وهو ما يعد تقديراً دولياً رفيعاً للدور الذي يلعبه المركز في دعم فن التصوير الفوتوغرافي، ويعزز من مكانة دولة قطر كوجهة رائدة للمبدعين والمصورين على الخارطة العالمية.

كما سيتم عمل محاضرات متخصصه على هامش المعرض يوم السبت والأحد للتعريف باهميه اتحاد المصورين الدوليين وعرض خبراتهم في مجالات مختلفه في التصوير الفوتوغرافي ومن الجدير بالذكر ان المحاضرين سيكونون اعضاء مجلس إدارة اتحاد المصورين الدوليين على ان يلقي محاضرة يوم السبت الموافق ١٠ يناير ٢٠٢٦رئيس الاتحاد استاذ مانولس متزاكس ورشه متخصصه عن تصوير البورتريه ويلقى باقي الاعضاء ٤ محاضرات متخصصه في مجالات مختلفه للتصوير يوم الأحد الموافق ١١ يناير ٢٠٢٦.

وبهذه المناسبة، قال السيد جاسم أحمد البوعينين مدير مركز قطر للتصوير، إن المعرض يأتي ليقدم تجربة بصرية فريدة قوامها 96 صورة فوتوغرافية التُقطت في مدن مختلفة حول العالم. تم تنسيقها في 48 لوحة ثنائية، بهدف كشف الروابط الخفية التي تجمع بين التجارب الحضرية المتباعدة جغرافياً.

وأضاف أن المعرض يسعى إلى خلق “حوار بصري” بين موقعين مختلفين في كل لوحة، حيث تتداخل المشاهد وتتقاطع لتضيء كل منها الأخرى بطرق غير متوقعة. ومن خلال هذا التنسيق المتناغم، يهدف المعرض إلى استكشاف مفهوم الترابط العالمي، وعرض إيقاعات متوازية للحياة اليومية، وأشكال معمارية يتردد صداها في أماكن قد تفصل بينها آلاف الكيلومترات.

وأوضح البوعينين أن المعرض يدعو الزوار لاكتشاف أن المدن، مهما اختلفت مواقعها، تتحدث لغة واحدة مشتركة؛ هي لغة الضوء والظل، الحركة والسكون، والعزلة والمجتمع. مُبيناً أن “المدينة تتحدث” ليس مجرد عرض لصور منفصلة، بل هو دعوة لرؤية العالم ككيان مترابط يسهم فيه صوت كل مدينة في سرد قصة إنسانية وجغرافية كبرى.

“City Speaks”.. A photography exhibition bringing together cities around the world in Qatar

The Qatar Photography Center, affiliated with the Ministry of Culture, in collaboration with the Global Photographers Union (GPU), is organizing an exceptional photography exhibition entitled “City Speaks” on Friday at the center’s headquarters in Katara.
The exhibition is particularly significant as it celebrates the Qatar Photography Center’s accreditation as an approved center of the Global Photographers Union (GPU) and its representative in the region. This is a high international recognition of the role played by the center in supporting the art of photography and reinforces Qatar’s position as a leading destination for creators and photographers on the global map.
Specialized lectures will also be held on the sidelines of the exhibition on Saturday and Sunday to highlight the importance of the Global Photographers Union and showcase their expertise in various fields of photography. It is worth noting that the lecturers will be instructors are the members of the Global Photographers Union’s board, with the union’s president, Mr. Manolis Matzakis will give a specialized workshop on portrait photography on Saturday 10 January 2026, and the other members will give four specialized lectures in various fields of photography on Sunday, January 11, 2026.
On this occasion, Mr. Jassim Ahmed Al-Buainain, Director of the Qatar Photography Center, said that the exhibition offers a unique visual experience consisting of 96 photographs taken in different cities around the world. They have been coordinated into 48 double panels, with the aim of revealing the hidden links between geographically distant urban experiences.
He added that the exhibition seeks to create a “visual dialogue” between two different locations in each painting, where scenes overlap and intersect to illuminate each other in unexpected ways. Through this harmonious coordination, the exhibition aims to explore the concept of global interconnections, presenting parallel rhythms of daily life and architectural forms that resonate in places that may be thousands of kilometers apart.
Al-Buainain explained that the exhibition invites visitors to discover that cities, regardless of their location, speak a common language: the language of light and shadow, movement and stillness, isolation and community. He pointed out that “City Speaks” is not just a display of separate images, but an invitation to see the world as an interconnected entity in which the voice of each city contributes to a greater human and geographical narrative.
