في أول ظهور للتصوير رفضت السيدات لأن كشف الوجه على الغرباء في ذلك الوقت نوع من العيب لكن الست عيوشة المصرية كانت من العوالم فوافقت علي التصوير

الصورة دى أتصورت سنة ١٨٤٢ وكانت اول صوره فوتوغرافيه لسيده مصريه.

In the early days of photography, women refused to have their faces photographed because revealing their faces to strangers was considered shameful at that time. However, Sitt Ayousha, a woman of the ‘Awalim (a type of Egyptian folk dancer), agreed to be photographed.

This picture was taken in 1842 and was the first photograph of an Egyptian woman.
